The tennis comes to Trinity Church Square

Tennis racquets meet the London Philharmonic’s sublime “racket” in a new Wimbledon ad for sports network ESPN.

Kate Winslet narrates, as highlights from last year’s Wimbledon tournament are set against clips of the orchestra playing.

FilmFixer played a small role, consulting residents and managing parking, to aid the shoot in client borough Southwark’s stunning, Georgian, Trinity Church Square. Here, in the centre of the square, the London Philharmonic rehearses in a converted church, now called Henry Wood Hall. Both the orchestra and their space are looking stunning in the finished ad.

The ad makes comparisons between classical concerts and the tennis, ending with the words,”There is more great music to come because the symphony is always unfinished at Wimbledon.”
