About

FilmFixer handles around 8000 film shoots a year.

FilmFixer was started in 2007 to provide administrative and practical support for local authorities and landowners wishing to maximise income from location filming in London. The need for this service came about after the London Filming Partnership Agreement was signed by all 33 boroughs, which had to commit to being film friendly and establish a key point of contact to deal with enquiries. Directors Andrew and Karen had been working freelance on films and TV in London for years.  They were convinced that boroughs would struggle to deliver this service. Their idea was to encourage the boroughs to outsource their film services to enable greater efficiencies and better relationships with stakeholders within each borough.

Partnerships

We are committed to doing what is right for our clients and we put their wishes at the centre of our operations and thinking, whether they are film industry professionals or local authorities, boroughs, councils or residents.

We also manage filming on behalf of Lee Valley Regional Park, The Peabody Group and many other private locations including Butler’s Wharf  and Potters Fields Park.

FilmFixer works closely with Locations teams and Production Offices to facilitate filming. We achieve the best results for residents, filmmakers and borough Councils alike.

Our suite of products and services make location filming simple and sustainable, securing benefits for client communities.

We manage filming on behalf of fourteen London boroughs as well as Lee Valley Regional ParkThe Peabody Group and many other private locations including Butler’s Wharf  and Potters Fields Park.

We also deliver Screen Suffolk, the official film office for the county of Suffolk, representing all seven district councils and Suffolk County Council. This offers a ‘one-stop’ film service, from initial enquiry through to crew sourcing, permitting and much more.

We contribute directly to London’s claim as the world’s third busiest centre for filming. Every major London TV and film production has booked into at least one of our client locations over the past five years.

Paula Howell, Croydon Council

‘FilmFixer get the job done – they are swift, clear, concise and ambitious for their clients. They have worked with us in a consistent, determined, flexible way. Great people to work with.’

Jayne Knight, Arts Development Manager, Suffolk County Council

‘FilmFixer deliver a great service. We have our own dedicated staff, but welcome the opportunity to be part of the FilmFixer group, and benefit from shared best practice. Their knowledge about our locations, and how to manage them is very good. The work they put into resident engagement has paid off time and again, with local people appearing on camera or receiving welcome training and work experience.’
