Camden’s Keystone Crescent was transformed this year for the M&S Christmas Advert (prod co: Merman). This was a major operation, involving a 24-hour road closure, and extensive dressing to the street and building exteriors.
The shoot required a full day-and-a-half of prep to get everything looking suitably festive, and Location Manager George Verdon-Smith and team worked hard to make sure that the street was well looked after.
The residents of the Crescent were kept in thorough comms every step of the way, and they received donations in recognition of any upheaval. Importantly, the snowbase that was used to dress the road and pavements was pure cellulose (non toxic, no chemicals and PH neutral).
Plus, residents can now say that they are technically neighbours of national treasure Dawn French, which is a fun perk!
