Southwark resident Megan Bussey is a talented film student on the BA Film Practice course at the London College of Communications.

She recently worked as a marshal on the set of Gangs of London.

“Working on Gangs of London was a great experience for the start of my career as it introduced me to new people and gave me an insight into a professional set. The crew were lovely and very accommodating to all my questions. I can’t thank Sue Russo and FilmFixer enough.  It has convinced me to carry on in a career in film and TV.”

FilmFixer’s training and development manager, Sue Russo says: “As part of our commitment to training and advancing new entrants into film & television, we work directly with academic institutions. This includes the London College of Communications in Southwark. ”

FilmFixer hosts an annual placement for undergraduates to come and do work experience. As part of our partnership programmes, we place aspiring new talent with productions, on set, so they get hands on experience.

This gives individuals a meaningful and proactive opportunity to work directly with film & TV productions and get a real sense of the skills required for shooting on location in the capital.
