The Secret’s out – new BBC1 dramas, all filmed around Kentish Town, premiere tonight

The Secrets, a week-long series directed by Dominic Savage, features five 30-minute dramas, each with a devastating secret at the heart of it.

All five plots were filmed in six weeks over the winter, with locations help from us – we manage Camden Council’s film office.

The first episode, The Dilemma, airs at 10.40pm. Written by Nick Payne, it follows a pregnant vet, practised in putting down animals, and her mother, who is losing the will to fight her cancer.

The series continues all week. Locations to look out for during the series will include Whittington Hospital; Woodyard Close; St Michael’s Church; The Star Pub; Belsize Court; Kelly Street; Village Vets; and Parliament Hill Café.

There’s more information about The Dilemma and a clip here.

And producer Guy Heeley’s blog about the choice of locations and the filming, can be read here.
