Bromley plays an epic role in the new TalkTalk broadband ad

Bromley’s tranquil suburban streets become a brutal landscape for a feisty group of little characters in the new TalkTalk ad, which premiered on TV this week. Click here to take a look.

A lamp, a gnome, some slippers, a doll and a robot decamp from one house to reach another that has TalkTalk broadband. Crossing a few residential streets is to them an epic journey featuring locations such as Church House Gardens and Bluebell Close, Orpington.

They battle through a hedge, up some roadworks, across a sandpit, through the long grass, over a pond and through the catflap at the back of the house – to the bright, big screen of TalkTalk TV.

FilmFixer’s team, who manage filming on behalf of Bromley Council, thank the crew for working so well with residents during the shoots. The filmmakers provided donations to Friends of Bromley Town Parks and Gardens and Crofton Residents Association to benefit the community. They consulted all residents in Bluebell Close before filming, and worked with Bromley Council’s Parks team before closing the sandpit to the public for half a day.

FilmFixer director Andrew Pavord says, “Bromley has a fantastic reputation among advertising creatives for its idyllic residential look. Creating good relationships like these is truly appreciated by residents – who will be happy to welcome the filmmakers back any time.”
