Here’s a whistlestop summary of how filming fees and lead-times work in the beautiful borough of Waltham Forest:

• Filming fees are calculated based on three main variables: the length of shoot, the type of location, and the crew size
• Shoots that are limited to stills only, or that are charity or student productions have their own fee structure
• There are also specific charges related to things like parking, traffic controls, or unique requirements such as lightning engineers to control street lights
• We require at least 3 days’ notice for small shoots, at least 5 days’ for medium shoots, and as much time as is feasible for anything larger!
• For large-scale productions, we also encourage donations to local community groups and causes, in recognition of the impact that filming can sometimes have on local residents and businesses
