We were delighted to welcome a full house for the first-ever delivery of our Set Ready programme for Northern Ireland Screen.
The course provides a soft skills training and employment programme for young people wanting to begin their careers in the production industry, and we met an amazing cohort from Belfast in Northern Ireland in collaboration with local community group Start 360.
It was a real pleasure to work in collaboration with Northern Ireland Screen for the first time, and the course trainers included our very own Sue Russo (Set Ready Producer) and Amiee Tridgell (Set Ready Lead Trainer). Dickie Glenholmes, Location Manager (Derry Girls), Darren Fee, 1st Assistant Director (Bloodlands), Leon Fee, Line Producer (London Kills) and from Northern Ireland Screen, Skills Manager Paula Campbell and Skills Executive Clare Campbell. Award-winning film and TV Producer Alex Boden also spoke to the group.
All the students on this course received paid work experience on local high-end TV dramas after they’d completed the Set Ready programme.
