Southwark’s Santa elves are NOT on the High Street

Santa’s elves were never assumed to be on the High Street, but this year they make it very clear in their new ad: Not on the High Street. They filmed it in Southwark in October this year. Take a look.

The artists’ studios where we see teddy bears being tested for cuddles, and bespoke jewellery being made, are on Hindmands Road in East Dulwich.

And the van piled with presents, with a number plate reading 5LE1GH, leaves Warmington Road.

FilmFixer manages the film office service for Southwark Council. FilmFixer director Andrew Pavord says, “It would be nice to think that the production chose Southwark because of its long association with designers, artisans and craftsmen like Zandra Rhodes, Anthony Gormley and Andrew Logan, but the truth is that Location Managers choose Southwark because it is probably the most film friendly borough in London.”
